NHK Debut
My 15 seconds of fame on NHK's evening news as a "and finally..." spot.

I've been working at a really great school in Shibayama-Nishi in Funbashi. The school is in excellent condition compare to other public schools I've worked at. Great facilities,friendly,helpful teachers and enthusiastic genki kids.
As I had quite a bit of spare time in my hands in the late afternoon, I suggested to the headmaster I do lessons for the kids mums, so that the study process coudl be bopth in class and at home. He really welcomed the idea and left it up to me and the vice principal.
The vice principal Kamiya san is a great friendly booming bear of a man, always joking, so when he said "wear somethign smart next week, NHK are coming to see our superstar !" with a big broad beam on his face, little did I realise he wasnt joking until the day itself when I saw the camera crew arrive.
Was pretty nerve wracking, but good fun and got a spot on the evening news just before the sumo !
Had to record just from TV with a digital camera, so its a bit choppy in places. The jist is "English just isn't for the kids at this school, this chaps teaching the mums too !".
