Living in Japan You know you've been living in Japan too long when you start to seek self help books about the process itself. When living in a new country one can be inundated with "guide" books giving eating, drinking and tourist recommendations but very little is available in terms of the psychological aspects of living in a new country, especially a country as alien to westerners as Japan.
